Re: emt $?
Sat, August 6, 2005 - 2:37 PMI am looking for a cheap supplier of EMT for my shade structure.
Everrybody keeps telling me Home Depot is the cheapest but I don't want to shop at Home Depot.
I am in the SF Bay area.
Anybody know of a cheap alternative to HD?.
Thanks

Sun, August 7, 2005 - 11:05 AMHi Phil,
When I built my dome a few years ago home depot was =not= the cheapest source. I bought my emt at Universal Electric, 415-621-1888 438 8th St., San Francisco (south of Market neighborhood).
Check the yellow pages for electrical supplies-- wholesale for a supplier near you. Universal sold to me without me having a contractor's license, and gave me the contractor's price because I bought a lot.
Good luck,
Bruce :-)

Sat, August 13, 2005 - 11:00 AMgo to an electrical supply house - around here Kirby Risk is a big one - but im sure its different in differrnt areas - at least they may give you a bulk discount if you buy a lot - at home depot or lowes etc. - if its 5 bucks a stick and you buy 100 sitcks - its still 5 bucks a stick
