I've googled, looked, scoured the net, but no luck. It seems to me that SOMEBODY shuld make a standard PVC fitting for doing domes, but I can't find one. Perhaps we're to much of a niche market? Different angles for different frequencys, etc. Anybody ever seen anything like it?

Re: PreFab Star Joints?
Fri, October 7, 2005 - 3:16 PMSomeone was selling steel joint plates for using 2x4s or 2x2s. Useful for making a frequency 1 dome. I don't have the old link at the moment. Will try to find it later. It was in a posting from last year.

Sun, May 4, 2008 - 4:22 PMHey NovySan,
Not sure if you're still looking for information on this... but from all the research I've done, I have never seen anything prefab with respect to a PVC geodesic dome. Dr. Dave mentioned someone selling star plates, which allow you to build a 1v timber dome. After a couple of experiments with other dome styles, I may opt for starplates this year. Here's a link for the star plates:

Thu, May 8, 2008 - 2:28 PMHey, Fellow ShadeGeek. Yes, I am familiar with the starplates, but they're not really what I was looking for.
The Kee Klamp guys say their considering developing a solution, but I haven't seen any progress.

I'm considering prototyping something myself though. =) -
