My burning man camp, Smoochdome (www.smoochdome.org) is considering building a new dome this year.

As we started looking into setting ourselves up to build, we realized that once you're committed to making one dome, it's quite easy to expand a bit, and make many. So, we're thinking about jigging up a shop for a few days, and building a number of them.

We're looking for other camps or groups that were considering building or buying a dome for this year. Hopefully, by teaming up, we can cut costs by buying the parts in higher quantities.

We'll be building them as 32 foot diameter, frequency 4 geodesic domes, using 1 inch EMT conduit crimped and drilled.

We're not planning to mass produce covers, but could send you templates to create your own.

We could either deliver the finished kits (with all hardware needed) to the playa, ship them to you before, or you could pick them up from our NYC build site. (our target date to have them built is June 15th) (note that shipping will be additional)

Once we can gauge interest, we can sort out what the costs will be. The more domes we build, the less expensive they'll be...
